This book deals with Mastiff and mastiff-like breeds, mountain and herding mastiffs all over the world. Read about origin, history and already vanished dogs too. Not to forget Bandogs and Boardogs. We don't talk about show dogs, but working dogs, still used for hunting, protection and herding.

We have worked on this book about 7 years, contacted people and breeders of working dogs (no show dogs) all over the world for getting first-hand information and photos.

Sorry to say that it has been our last book we could make together due to the unexpected passing away of my husband, therefore it should be regarded as his heritage too.

Durch den unerwarteten Tod meines Mannes ist dies leider unser letztes Buch, das wir gemeinsam machen konnten, daher soll es auch als sein Vermächtnis angesehen werden.
